Press Release - May 2009 – Cribbins Family Butchers – The Butchers Block 5th Jun 2009
BÄ.RO the renowned retail lighting specialists are delighted to be involved in the opening of the new Butchers Block Store in Dundrum Town Centre. The new store is owned and operated by Cribbins Family Butchers group and is the groups first store to trade under their new brand – The Butchers Block. The rebrand is in line with the company's expansion strategy and there are already plans in place to open another five stores over the next eighteen months at various locations around the country. This is a remarkable achievement for Cribbins Family Butchers Group and is recognition of the professional retailing standards they have adopted which allow them to stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the most prestigious international retailers. BÄ.RO Lighting has had a successful long-standing relationship with Cribbins Family Butchers so they were delighted to be once again commissioned to supply the lighting design concept. Alongside retail designers Bradley McGurk, BÄ.RO was very much part of the equation in correctly positioning the design aesthetics and creating the ambience of the store. The lighting brief was simple - to create a first class look, complimenting the Techna Koude designed display units, whilst also using their specialist food lighting to display the products at their best and minimise damage/losses to sale. BÄ.RO supplied Carina recessed down lights over the meat displays and Bondo fixtures on track suspended to the front of the pre-pack. Retail lighting is a delicate mix of creating the right ambience for the customer, using the right light for the product on display and reinforcing the brand through the appliance of light. Steve Brough, BÄRO’s Design and Technical Manager, states, “By choosing the optimum combination of light source and luminaire distribution from within the BÄRO range, we were able to ensure that the appropriate emphasis was given to each element within the shop. Helping to create a well balanced shopping environment.”
