Londis Racecourse Foodhall
Client and Location:
Retail lighting industry leaders BA.RO were delighted to be commissioned for the new Londis Racecourse Foodhall in Castleknock. The new store is situated in the leafy surroundings of the Phoenix Park racecourse, a nationally known landmark site in Dublin. This is the second Londis store owned by John Gillen, who also has a store in Summerhill, Co. Meath.
Brief
The brief was to provide a bright modern installation that would compliment the look and feel of the new store, whilst also conserving energy and increasing lamp life span and hence reduce ongoing maintenance costs.
Solution
BA.RO utilised the wide beam surface-mounted luminaires to ensure the store was bright and evenly lit, and to give a modern and stylish appearance for all the store’s aisle displays whilst also creating a relaxed buying atmosphere. Product specific down lights were used for main display sections such as deli, fruit & veg and service counters and to emphasise higher margin areas.
Customer comments
Store owner John Gillen enthuses “The overall scheme is fantastic, the look, feel & ambience have all been achieved to our standards and are on a par with what we set out to achieve. BÄ.RO’s cost pro-rata to other manufacturer’s is extremely competitive and the quality of a very high standard ”
