Chatsworth House
It was with great pleasure that BARO were asked to provide the lighting solution for Chatsworth Farm Shop, which lies in the 35,000 acre Chatsworth Estate, in the Derbyshire countryside. The food hall was established in 1977 by the Duchess of Devonshire and has built its reputation on home produced or locally sourced products. It is visited by in excess of one million people annually. BARO produced the design with 'fresh food' appeal and aesthetics in mind. The Monorail suspended feature support system was utilised with the new 'Bondo' fixtures attached to provide a superb feature whilst giving high impact illumination to all vertical and horizontal displays. The curvature of the serve over butchery counter is also matched perfectly with the same rail system again with the 'Bondo' attached but with BARO's patented' meat' filter which highlights the quality fresh meats at their absolute best. The 'Bondo' is also used on a track system over the delicatessen and bakery counters, providing perfect feature lighting for the area.
Throughout the shop BA.RO chose to use recessed Carina and Capella fixtures to highlight smaller individual displays. The wine section and preserves / pickles section were brought to life with the BARO Pegasus, recessed fixture, which is used to highlight vertical wall mounted displays. Andre Birkett, Farm Shop Manager, says "The lighting looks superb and really brings the products to life." Sara Sweetland, Head of Trading, added, "Even though we've only changed the lighting it gives our shop a whole new look and feel – fantastic!"
BARO Lighting worked hand-in-hand With Ashfield Electrical who installed the lighting to ensure that everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
