Breda Cahil owner of Cahill’s Centra decided to enlist the expertise of BARO Lighting as she believed that they would install the best retail lighting solution possible for her brand new store. 

The brief was to provide an installation that would incorporate the latest in modern lighting technology that would conserve energy and increase lamp life span and reduce ongoing maintenance costs whilst minimizing product spoilage and wasted.

BARO utilized the Libra fixture to create an innovative and modern appearance for all the store’s aisle displays, and Carina downlights for main display sections such as deli, fruit & veg, bakery promotional ends, service counters and Off -License. BARO’s award-winning Batwing reflector technology was used throughout the store to create even and bright illumination of product displays. Spaced up to 2.5 metres apart it can illuminate two opposite shelves at the same time both vertically and horizontally that means fewer fixtures are needed and therefore reduces energy and operating costs.

Breda is already reaping the benefits of the new lighting design,

“Obviously, we are very happy with the cost savings that the BA.RO solution has provided but it’s the overall look and feel of the store that is so different to using a standard fluorescent solution. Modern customers expect to have a “shopping experience” When they come into the store and effective lighting is an important part of that experience. Lighting creates the right mood, highlights displays attractively and attracts customers who often buy more in this positive environment.
