BÄ.RO’s expertise in retail lighting has transformed two Topaz forecourt shops into attractive and welcoming shopping environments where products are displayed to the consumer to their best advantage. Topaz has the largest network of forecourt retail shops in Ireland since it acquired both Irish Shell in 2005 and Statoil Ireland in 2006 and BÄ.RO lighting was chosen for its energy efficient adaptable product range.

The new-look shops for Topaz, Ireland’s largest fuels and convenience business - are Topaz Kill, located close to Dublin on the Naas Road (one of Ireland’s busiest routes), and Topaz Glasnevin, in North Dublin.

A key consideration for these installations was the identification of different retail areas that required specific lighting treatments – a great example of the flexible product range BÄ.RO has developed for its customers. BÄ.RO also had to accommodate lighting around feature floating ceiling panels, which was a challenge in itself.

The selection of BÄ.RO products for the installations is explained by Key Account Manager, Paul Bealin, who said, “The BÄ.RO team had to ensure that we provided the Client with the most effective retail solution whilst also being energy efficient and easy to maintain. To achieve the best results we used a combination of BÄ.RO recessed, track mounted, and pendant fixtures throughout the shops. Around the service counter we used a curvaceous feature rail lighting system.”

The installation was completed within deadline and Frank Gleeson, Topaz Retail Director sums up his experience of working with BARO, “We selected BÄ.RO lighting for our new convenience stores because they enabled us to create a different look and feel. More then just space lighting, BÄ.RO met with our objective of illuminating retail products. 
The Lighting is part of our repositioning - to give our Topaz convenience stores a more earthy, modern retail environment that will enhance the customer experience. We wanted to create a relaxing environment, away from the bright and harsh tone of previous stores”.
